An inmate accused of incest has died while in custody at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville.
The Iowa Department of Corrections reports 54-year-old Robert Hicke of Burlington was pronounced dead at 7:45 Sunday morning in an IMCC hospice room.
Hicke had been serving a ten-year sentence for crimes from Des Moines County. His sentence began on August 7th, 2023.
Hicke pleaded guilty to a 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse charge in June of 2023 after he was accused of inappropriately touching a relative in Burlington while she was sleeping in April of that year.
