A West Branch man was arrested early Thursday after threatening bar patrons and the police officer who took him into custody.
Just before 12:45am, 38-year-old Chad Wambold of Lou Henry Lane was at TCB Pool Hall on East College Street. Officers responded to reports of him threatening to kill patrons at the bar. The group attempted to separate themselves from Wambold, but he reportedly followed them and asked if they wanted a problem. He then allegedly threatened to kill the patron twice.
Wambold was arrested, and while in custody, he reportedly told an officer that he was going to return to the business the next day. He then allegedly said he was going to punch the officer, eat him alive, and kill him, He also reportedly said if he had a knife, he would stab the officer.
