A North Liberty man was charged with his 3rd OWI after allegedly assaulting one of his children.
47-year-old Terrence Fice of Golfview Court was called in as an assault suspect Sunday afternoon. According to his 16-year-old daughter, Fice applied pressure to his 13-year-old child’s neck before she pushed him off the 13-year-old. Fice then fled, with his 8 and 10 year old children in the vehicle. Fice was said to be heavily intoxicated.
FIce’s ex returned to the scene with the car and said that he had driven her to work nearby. She took command of the vehicle and Fice and the two minors were now on foot. He was located near where he was last seen by his ex and was allegedly intoxicated. He reportedly had the odor of ingested alcohol, heavily slurred speech and unsteady on his feet. FIce also had a key fob in his possession for the vehicle he was said to be driving. He refused all testing.
Fice was charged with his third OWI and Child Endangerment. If convicted on both counts, he faces up to seven years in prison.
