A reported gas leak led to evacuations in Conesville Tuesday morning.
A post on the Muscatine County Emergency Management Facebook page just after 9 a.m. warned Conesville residents living in the 200 to 400 blocks of Burlington and Liberty Streets to evacuate and seek alternate shelter until further notice. The leak was successfully capped a short time later, and residents were allowed back into their homes.
No other details have been released.
