Oxford firefighters spent their Christmas Eve battling a boat fire.
The fire departments from Oxford and Tiffin were called to 318 S. High Avenue just after 5:00 Wednesday night for a burning boat. The vessel had caught fire while parked inside a garage, and it had been moved outside so it would not ignite the structure. Tiffin firefighters were called off while en route, as Oxford firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the blaze on their own.
No damage estimate has been released.
