A North Liberty man was arrested Sunday after allegedly sexually assaulting a roommate.
The incident occurred just before 6am at the residence. According to the victim, she was asleep in her room and awoke to find 34-year-old Edil Perez Zuniga with his mouth and fingers on her private parts. She told officers that she hit Zuniga, and he left the room. Officers found him in the garage and he declined to speak with officers.
He was charged with 3rd degree Sexual Abuse and could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison if convicted. A no-contact order was requested.
