The Ely Fire Department is one step closer to acquiring a new firetruck.
The department has announced that it has hit its next fundraising goal to help pay for the new vehicle with $302,364.55 raised as of Wednesday night.
But Ely fire officials say they still have a way to go before they can afford the new truck.
