An Iowa City man is accused of assaulting his brother in a dispute over a television.
Iowa City Police were called to an apartment on Broadway Street just before 4:30 Saturday afternoon after 36-year-old Emmanuel Muka, who lives in another Broadway Street apartment, reportedly punched his brother in the face, causing swelling and redness to his face and eye.
The two brothers admitted to fighting over the purchase and ownership of a television. Muka allegedly admitted to pushing his brother after the argument escalated.
Muka is now charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail.
