An Iowa City woman faces possible prison time after allegedly using her vehicle to injure two people she was reportedly fighting with.
The incident occurred on August 5th last year. That evening, officers were called to a report of a fight in progress at the residence of 43-year-old Jete Woodson of Shamrock Place. Upon investigation of the incident with video evidence to support the victims’ claims, Woodson allegedly used her Jeep Liberty to accelerate towards them on the sidewalk and striking them.
No serious injuries were reported.
A warrant was issued August 8th; Woodson remained at large until she was served early Monday morning. She faces two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and could be sentenced to up to four years in prison if convicted.
