Johnson County state legislators will share their ideas and answer questions at a forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Johnson County, on January 24 at the Iowa City Senior Center. This first forum during the 2026 Legislative session will focus on education. It offers constituents a great opportunity to hear from their state lawmakers and ask them questions directly.
This is the first of three forums scheduled during this 2026 Legislative session. The second forum is scheduled to be held at the Coralville City Council Chambers on February 28 and will focus on water quality and the environment. The third forum is scheduled to be held at the North Liberty City Council Chambers on March 28 with a focus on healthcare. All forums are open to the public.
The first forum will be held between 9:30 and 11:30am. All Johnson County state legislators have been invited to attend: Senator Dawn Driscoll, Senator Zach Wahls, Senator Janice Weiner, Representative Heather Hora, Representative Dave Jacoby, Representative Judd Lawler, Representative Elinor Levin, Representative Amy Nielsen, and Representative Adam Zabner
League members will moderate the forum and audience members can ask questions.
