Iowa basketball player fined after arrest for downtown bar fight

A University of Iowa men’s basketball player has been fined after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a recent fight at a downtown Iowa City bar.

Online court records show 22-year-old Tavion Banks pleaded guilty to a Disorderly Conduct charge on Wednesday and was fined $65. A Public Intoxication charge was dismissed.

Banks was accused of fighting with staff at Reunion Brewery on the Ped Mall just after 1:15 on the morning on October 12th.
