University of Iowa Campus Safety launches a late-night shuttle this weekend to and from Aspire at West Campus.
The shuttle will run daily from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. with service between the UI Main Library and Aspire at West Campus on Hawkeye Court every 30 minutes.
The shuttle will depart the Main Library Cambus stop at the top and bottom of each hour, and the Aspire Cambus stop at :15 and :45 of each hour. It will be run as a pilot program during the spring semester to help Campus Safety evaluate ridership and determine long-term late night transportation needs for students living at Aspire.
During the pilot the shuttle will not appear in the Transit App, and riders must swipe their University ID to board. The UI will tally those swipes to gauge demand for the service at the end of the semester.
