An Iowa City woman with a history of shoplifting has been charged again for the same offense.

32-year-old Porscha Curry was already in the Johnson County Jail after she was arrested earlier this week for allegedly trespassing at the Maverick convenience store on Muscatine Avenue and at the 1st Avenue Hy-Vee. Iowa City Police now say she also stole a blow-dryer from the nearby CVS Pharmacy just after 5:00 on the night of January 15th. She now faces an added charge of 3rd Degree Theft. If convicted, she faces a maximum of two years in jail.

Curry, a former resident of the Town & Campus Apartments on Arthur Street who is now listed in arrest records as a transient, has numerous previous theft convictions.
