A West Branch man has been arrested for the second time in less than a week for once again reportedly causing a disturbance at a downtown bar.

Iowa City Police were called to the new Fieldhouse on South Clinton Street just after 2:30 Friday morning for 38-year-old Chad Wambold of Lou Henry Lane causing a disturbance. Arriving officers say Wambold showed signs of intoxication, refused to provide identification, and threatened to find the arresting officer’s home address and decapitate him and his parents.

Wambold is charged with 1st Degree Harassment and Public Intoxication. Last Tuesday night Wambold was arrested after allegedly making threats at Brother’s. Wambold was also arrested last December after allegedly threatening to kill patrons at TCB Pool Hall. He reached a plea deal in the TCB case, and sentencing is set for February 13th.
