A Coralville woman was charged after two separate alleged thefts.
The incidents involved 48-year-old Tosha Arthur of Boston Way. On November 25th, she allegedly grabbed a $159 Ninja pressure cooker from the Walmart on Highway 1, bypassed all points of sale and failed to make payment for the merchandise.
Then on December 23rd, Aurthur was reportedly seen on surveillance video entering HyVee Wine and Spirits on Crosspark Road, selecting three bottles of liquor and hiding them in her coat, and leaving without an attempt to pay. Store staff identified the bottles of Casa Amigos Tequila valued at a total of nearly $330.
A check of Aurthur’s criminal record showed two previous theft convictions this past November.
Warrants were issued on December 4th and 31st, respectively. She was booked into the Johnson County Jail on January 19th and charged with two counts of 3rd degree Theft. If convicted on both counts, Aurthur could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.
