Former University of Iowa football player and current WWE personality Ettore Ewen, also known as “Big E”, has been tabbed to host a new NFL draft preview series.
The former WWE World Champion played defensive lineman for Iowa from 2004-2006 before his football career was cut short by injuries. His in-ring career for WWE was put on indefinite hold after he broke his neck in a match in 2022. He has since done voiceover work, including numerous commercials and animated series, such as “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” on Disney+. Ewen also still works for WWE as a host for the company’ pre- and post-game shows for premium live events.
That hosting experience led to SūmerSports hiring Ewen to lead its upcoming ten-episode show “The Evaluation”, which the company described as combining “old-school football knowledge from seasoned NFL scouts & GMs with new-school analysis powered by SūmerSports’ proprietary AI technologies.”
The first episode of the ten-part weekly series runs on Thursday, February 12th on the SūmerSports’ YouTube channel.
Confirmed guests for the first season include former NFL players Eli Manning, Marshall Faulk, and Howie Long, among others.
