An area man charged in Illinois with sexual abuse was arrested after failing to update his address with the Johnson County Sheriff.
According to the police report, 49-year-old Kennanthony Jackson of Oak Park Illinois was convicted in 1999 on two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse in Hillside, Illinois. As part of his sentence, he was required to register his whereabouts at the Sheriff’s Office of the county in which he was living.
On February 5th, 2024, Jackson updated his address as the Iowa Lodge on the Coralville Strip. The manager at the complex was interviewed that April and revealed that Jackson had moved out four days after updating his address. As of April 15th that year, Jackson had failed to update his address with authorities, and a warrant was issued for his arrest that April 16th.
He remained at large until being served this week. He faces up to 5 years in prison if convicted for second offense sex offender registration violation.
