A nationwide protest by Mennonite Action featured hundreds gathering at Target in Coral Ridge Mall Sunday.

KCRG TV reports the protest is against ICE and Target, headquartered in Minnesota.

Aliese Gingerich with Iowa Mennonite Action told the station that as the 4th largest company in the state, they have a lot of economic and political sway. The protest is a way to send a message to other corporations that she said are complicit in what’s going on.

Pamphlets given out at the protest call for ICE to leave Minnesota, demand Congress end ICE funding, and demanded Target post signs in its stores that deny entrance to immigration  agents without a warrant, and train staff on how to respond if agents arrive.

Target says they have no agreement with immigration enforcement agencies.
