Landowners interested in using prescribed fire as a management tool for prairies and woodlands are invited to attend a Landowner’s Prescribed Fire Workshop this Wednesday from 8am-4 pm at FW Kent Park in Oxford.
Attendees will gain practical knowledge on fire benefits, burn planning, fire weather, safety, and essential tools and techniques in a classroom setting with a few outdoor sessions. There will NOT be a prescribed burn.
The event is presented by the Great Rivers Alliance of Southeast Iowa.
