Multiple Washington County agencies and others were called to a pipeline fire Saturday morning.
According to the Brighton Fire Department, an explosion was reported between 315th and 325th Streets, north and south of the Skunk River, at 10:51 am. Firefighters from Washington, Wayland, Richland, Crawfordsville, and Ainsworth all responded, as well as Washington County Ambulance.
An investigation determined a pipeline had exploded. No one was around it at the time of the explosion.
The investigation is ongoing. Officials were still on the scene into Saturday night.
