A Friday brush fire along the north shore of Lake Macbride spread to two different structures, including a residence.

That’s according to Solon Fire Chief Bob Siddell, who reached out to KCJJ Saturday morning to update a story we first brought you Friday night.

The box alarm at 4025 Crest View Road NE was first reported just before 1:30 p.m. Solon firefighters were joined by crews from North Liberty, Swisher, Iowa City, Ely, and Mount Vernon, as well as the Johnson County Ambulance Service.

Initial reports indicated the fire had spread to a nearby structure. Siddell tells KCJJ the fire spread to two different structures, including a house and a shed. Both buildings suffered damage to their siding.

There were no reported injuries.
