A Friday brush fire along the north shore of Lake Macbride spread to two different structures, including a residence.

That’s according to Solon Fire Chief Bob Siddell, who reached out to KCJJ Saturday morning to update a story we first brought you Friday night.

The box alarm at 4025 Crest View Road NE was first reported just before 1:30 p.m. Solon firefighters were joined by crews from North Liberty, Swisher, Iowa City, Ely, and Mount Vernon, as well as the Johnson County Ambulance Service.

Initial reports indicated a vegeatation fire had spread to a nearby structure. Siddell tells KCJJ the fire spread to two different structures, including a house and a shed. Both buildings suffered damage to their siding.

There were no reported injuries.
