The Whirlpool corporation has announced plans to lay off almost 400 of the 1,500 workers at its plant in Amana.
That’s according to a news release issued by the company on Tuesday. The layoffs take effect on March 9th. , and are part of what the corporation is calling a multi-year plans to modernize its facilities
Whirlpool says more layoffs are possible in the second quarter.
