An allegedly intoxicated transient was arrested Sunday afternoon after several unprovoked assaults.
According to the arrest report, the incidents occurred at the Winter Emergency Shelter. 24-year-old Rayven Paul reportedly punched one victim in the neck, causing pain and swelling. He then was involved in several other physical fights with persons on the scene, including one allegedly witnessed by arresting officers.
Upon contact, Paul showed multiple signs of intoxication including bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech and the odor of ingested alcohol. A PBT showed his breath-alcohol level at .145 percent.
Paul was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault causing Bodily Injury and faces up to two years in jail if convicted on both charges.
