Iowa City Police are accusing a Coralville woman of defiantly violating a no contact order last year.
According to arrest records, just after noon on September 3rd 39-year-old Crystal Porter of Holiday Road boarded a transit bus at the Washington Street interchange when she noticed a person who has an order of protection against her was sitting at the back of the bus. Porter can allegedly be seen on camera walking by open seats to sit near the protected party, then angling her body so she could stare and smile at the other person. The two later engaged in an argument.
Porter reportedly said nobody could tell her when she can and can’t ride public transportation. She now faces one count of Violating a Protective Order.
