A Linn County woman has been charged in connection with a reported assault at a University of Iowa Health Care facility last year.
25-year-old Dalexia Pledge of Marion was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 8:45 Tuesday night. UI Police say Pledge pulled another woman’s hair and punched her in the face at the UIHC Hawkins Drive location just before 9:00 on the night of November 17th. A witness confirmed the hair-pulling but did not see the reported punch.
The alleged victim reported pain to the side of her face and she required pain medication.
Pledge is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, she faces a maximum of one year in jail.
