A drunk driving suspect is accused of hitting speeds of over 110 miles per hour before he was taken into custody by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office early Sunday morning.
A deputy reports clocking a 2023 Chevy Silverado at 111 miles per hour as it was heading northbound on I-380 near the Swisher exit just after 2:30 a.m. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver…22-year-old Jerry Cabrera Morales of Ponco City, Oklahoma…allegedly showed signs of intoxication. His breath alcohol level was recorded at .130%.
Cabrera Morales is charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Speeding. If convicted on both counts he faces up to one year in jail.
