A two-vehicle collision in Riverside sent one person to University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City.
Washington County first responders were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 22 and Vine Avenue just after 7:30 Friday morning after one vehicle reportedly pulled out in front of another. One car with three passengers ended up in the ditch, while the other came to rest in the turning lane. The two drivers were later identified as Brian Manary of Iowa City and Maurice Turner of Iowa City.
One of the people involved in the accident reported head pain and was transported to the UIHC Hawkins Drive location. There were no other reported injuries.
Both vehicles needed to be towed, and Turner was cited for Failure to Yield.
