A Coralville woman was taken into custody Friday night after allegedly assaulting her live-in domestic partner.
The incident involved 30-year-old Samantha Pederson of 10th Street. She and the victim were arguing at around 9:45pm when she allegedly struck the man in the face, causing his glasses to break and leaving a scratch on the bridge of his nose.
Pederson reportedly admitted to the incident.
She was charged with Domestic Abuse assault causing Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to a year if convicted. A no contact order was requested between the couple.
