Two former Iowa Hawkeye standouts will be facing each other for the first time on the world stage.
Team USA, featuring Caitlin Clark, has already qualified for the World Cup in Germany later this year. The current five-game tournament in San Juan Puerto Rico will give the team a chance to play ahead of Berlin, while other countries are competing to clinch their spot.
Team USA has averaged over 98 points per game in wins over Senegal, Puerto Rico, Italy and New Zealand.
USA faces Spain this afternoon; the Spanish team features former Hawkeye Megan Gustafson. The game tips off at 4:45pm and can be seen on TNT and HBO Max.
