A Coralville man was arrested after his reportedly erratic driving led to a traffic stop.
The incident occurred Saturday night on the 1700 block of 5th Street in Coralville. 28-year-old Emmanuel Tsimba was reportedly identified as the driver in a traffic stop after making a wide turn and driving onto the curb. He allegedly had droopy eyes, had the odor of ingested alcohol, and admitted to drinking before getting behind the wheel.
After showing measurable impairment on field sobriety tests, Tsimba submitted to a Datamaster which showed his breath-alcohol level at .185 percent.
He was charged with OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor.
