Firefighters from Coralville and Tiffin responded to a vehicle fire Thursday afternoon at a local quarry.
The Tiffin Fire Department says crews responded to River Products Company on Deer Creek Rd SE just after 12:45 p.m. for an active fire in the engine compartment of a large off-road dump truck. The fire extended into the cab, and the blaze was quickly contained and extinguished. The operator had already escaped the vehicle, and there were no reported injuries.
