Cedar Rapids Police took a 20-year-old into custody after a vehicle pursuit.
According to a release from the city, officers located Darryl Alexander shortly after 10 Saturday night, doing parking lot burnouts near the 4400 block of 1st Av NE. Alexander reportedly left the scene when officers attempted a traffic stop, and was finally stopped in the area near I380 and 2nd AV NE.
Alexander was booked into the Linn County Correctional Facility and charged with Eluding, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Failure to obey a traffic signal, failure to obey a train signal, and a one-way street violation.
The Eluding charge is a Class D Felony punishable by a prison sentence of up to five years.
