The Iowa Department of Transportation is warning drivers about a recurring scam.
They say Iowans are getting text messages from “Iowa Court” about an unpaid traffic ticket. If not paid by a certain date, the text claims your license will be immediately suspended.
The DOT reminds citizens that they don’t send out fee collection reminders via text, and will never text customers asking for private of financial information.
