Iowans turned out in force for No Kings III, with more than 60 events organized across the state. Every congressional district hosted events, demonstrating broad, statewide participation and growing civic engagement among Iowans who believe democracy depends on the people.
According to a release from Indivisible Iowa, thousands of Iowans gathered to take part in rallies, marches, banner drops, sign-waving events, and community gatherings. Events ranged from a banner drop in Tipton to a march and rally in Decorah and a picnic in Washington County.
A rally and march near the Pentacrest in Iowa City was attended by at least a thousand people.
The Johnson County Democrats had a tent on Iowa Avenue encouraging younger voters and community members to check their registration status or to register to vote. Members of Escucha Mi Vos, the Prairielands Freedom Fund, and the Immigration Welcome Network of Johnson County spoke at the rally.
This was the third No Kings rally, the first being in June 2025, followed by a second nationwide protest in October. Millions participated nationwide over the weekend.
