The Iowa City Community School Board has named Pat Moore as the district’s next chief financial officer. Moore will join the district on July 1st, pending school board approval on April 14.
A school district news release says Moore was offered the job after formal interviews with two finalists on March 26th. Interviews were conducted with multiple stakeholders from the district and Iowa City community, including administrators, staff members, community leaders, and school board members.
The school board recently approved $7.5 million in budget cuts after members of the community noticed in February that there were discrepancies in the district’s quarterly financial report.
