Multiple agencies responded to a fire at a Lone Tree apartment on Wednesday night.
Firefighters from Lone Tree and Hills, the Johnson County Ambulance Service, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Patrol all responded to 305 South Center Street for a reported building fire just before 7:00. Dispatch records also describe the fire as a “police incident”.
The building manager told KCJJ that during a domestic incident, food was left on a stove and caused the building to fill with smoke. Tenants were briefly evacuated to air the building out before they were allowed to return. There were no injuries and minimal damage.
