A domestic disturbance in Coralville has led to a felony charge against one of the participants.
Coralville Police were called to an apartment at 954 Boston Way just before 7:30 Saturday night for a fight in progress. Witnesses claimed 27-year-old Anthony Moore of Shamrock Place in Iowa City, struck a woman with whom he has had an intimate relationship for five years. The woman…who has a no-contact order against Moore…had blood on her face and shirt when officers arrived. Arrest records indicate Moore gave the woman’s address as his own.
Moore also allegedly struck another woman twice in the face after she tried to break up an argument between Moore and her daughter. That alleged victim showed signs of bruising.
Moore is charged with Assault Against a Protected Party, Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury, and a No-Contact Order Violation. If convicted on all counts, Moore faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
