Authorities are investigating a dog bite that occurred over the weekend.

According to a release from the City of Iowa City,

The bite occurred around 5 p.m. on Sunday The victim reported being bitten by a dog upon entering Rita’s Ranch Dog Park. The dog is described as medium-sized, grey in color, with erect ears, a long snout, bowed front legs, and wearing a grey harness.

Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information on the rabies vaccination status of the dog. If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal Services directly at 319-356-5295 or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-6800.
