The Iowa City School Board has approved the hiring of Cedar Rapids school district administrator Adam Zimmerman to be the next principal at Liberty High.
ZImmerman replaces Justin Colbert, who becomes deputy superintendent of the Southeast Polk Community School District effective July 1.
Zimmerman graduated from high school in the Iowa City school district, and had been acting as the interim administrator in Cedar Rapids since January. He has worked for that district since 2017.
His salary is yet to be determined.
