A Conroy Iowa man threatened to defecate in the back of the police car he was being transported to jail in, then made good on his threat early Friday morning.
The incident occurred at around 1:45am, when 33-year-old Bradley Allen was found unconscious in a white Dodge Caravan on the northbound shoulder of I380 just past the 1 mile marker. After several attempts to wake him, Allen finally responded to officers. He was observed with bloodshot watery eyes, impaired speech and the smell of ingested alcohol on his breath.
Allen initially refused to identify himself, and officers noticed a bag containing a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana on the seat next to him, along with a wooden pipe with residue.
While taking him back to the squad car, Allen reportedly pulled his leg back and kicked at the officers escorting him. While they were transporting him to the Johnson County Jail, Allen allegedly stated he was going to defecate in the back of the police car, then bragged about it afterwards.
Allen was booked into the jail at 4am and charged with two serious misdemeanors, possession of a controlled substance, and assault on peace officers. He’s also charged with 5th degree criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, and interference with official acts, all simple misdemeanors. If convicted on all charges, Allen could be sentenced to up to 27 months in prison.
