Iowa City Police are investigating a mid-day shots fired incident on the southeast side.
According to an ICPD news release, at approximately 12:50 Wednesday afternoon officers responded to multiple reports of several gunshots being heard near Sandusky and Taylor Drives. Responding officers located fresh damage, believed to be gunshot-related, in a vehicle and to a nearby residence.
There have been no reports of injuries from the incident. No arrests have been made.
Iowa City Police are asking for the public’s help to identify anyone involved with this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact Sergeant Jerry Blomgren at 319-356-5276.
Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about this incident, if an arrest is made.
