A Cedar Rapids man who allegedly told a co-worker he had a gun and it was loaded for his supervisors was taken into custody early Monday morning.
According to North Liberty police, 23-year-old Maithiu Campbell of Fruitland Boulevard Southwest was at his place of employment, Centro Incorporated in North Liberty. At around 4am, he is accused of telling a co-worker that he had a gun, and said “the first 18 bullets are for supervisors.”
A gun was located in his bag, which was near Campbell. Police say he admitted to making the statement under Miranda.
Campbell was taken into custody and charged with First Degree Harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison term of up to two years if convicted.
