An Iowa City man who was arrested for a no-contact order violation was found with marijuana products.

Arrest records indicate that the protected party arrived at his Evans Street residence Monday afternoon around 4:10 to 34-year-old Devin Cobb of Kountry Lane inside the home, showering. He left the residence and contacted police. By the time officers arrived, Cobb had left the residence, but the protected party said Cobb had changed clothes after showering.

Cobb was located in the 1100 block of East College Avenue and allegedly admitted to being inside of the residence, a violation of the no-contact order between the two. After being arrested, Cobb reportedly admitted to having marijuana was and edibles in his backpack.

Officers located about 185 grams of marijuana wax inside a petite Mason jar, nearly 17 grams of marijuana wax inside a CD envelope, four tinfoil-wrapped chocolate marijuana edibles, and about half a gram of loose marijuana. Cobb reportedly told officers he forgot to mention the fresh marijuana and that it belonged to him.

Cobb was charged with violation of the no-contact order, marijuana possession, and failure to affix a drug stamp. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to six years in prison.
