A North Liberty man has been accused of sexual abuse from an incident with a child over the summer.

According to the arrest report, 34-year-old Daniel Walshire allegedly committed the crime sometime between June 1st and July 10th. He reportedly digitally penetrated the ten-year-old child, fondled her breasts over her clothing, and also had her fondle her own breasts. The report says the actions were for the purpose of satisfying Walshire’s sexual desires.

A warrant was filed for his arrest, and he was taken into custody Tuesday. He’s been charged with 2nd degree Sexual Abuse and Indecent Contact with a Child, and could be sentenced to up to 27 years in prison if convicted.
