Hy-Vee is introducing a new beer brat in honor of legendary Hawkeye wrestling coach Dan Gable.
The limited-edition Gable Beer Brats were created in partnership with Waterloo-based SingleSpeed Brewing Co., which also brews a Dan gable beer. The brats and beer are both available at Hy-Vee stores throughout the state. That includes all Iowa City, Coralville, Cedar Rapids and Marion locations. Gable himself will be making personal appearances at Gable Beer Brat events in Marion, Waterloo and Altoona later this summer.
For every six-pack of Gable beer sold, SingleSpeed Brewing Co. donates a portion of the proceeds to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum.
