Woman accused of stealing laundry cart, clocks, trash container from IC laundromat

Allegedly stealing multiple items from a laundromat has led to an Iowa City woman’s arrest.

Iowa City Police say 48-year-old Trina Thompson of South Dodge Street entered Clean Laundry on Highway 1 West around 3am on February 24^th, collected a laundry cart, a trash container and multiple wall clocks and left the business with them. The stolen items were valued at $310. The entire incident was caught on surveillance video.

Thompson was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 5:45 Sunday night and charged with 4^th Degree Theft. If convicted, she faces a maximum of one year in jail.
