A smaller number of Iowa City Students for Justice in Palestine gathered on the Pentacrest Saturday to continue their weekend protest of the Israel –Palestine war  that has led to the death of uncounted civilians.

Hundreds of protesters have been arrested across the country on college campuses during  recent demonstrations.  That has not been the case at the University of Iowa, which has seen the group carry out their protests in a peaceful manner.

The Press-Citizen reports ny 1:30 p.m., the group grew to about 50 people who engaged in different activities, from button making to working on projects to reading and conducting individual discussions.

Members have been calling on the University of Iowa to dissolve its partnership with Collis Aerospace and Lockheed Martin, among a list of demands the group has made in protest of the Israel-Hamas war.

The protest concludes today.
