Coralville man charged with assault after allegedly striking coworker

A Coralville man was arrested after allegedly striking a coworker.

The incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 4:30pm.  31-year-old Frank Scott was reportedly working at the Dairy Queen on the Coralville Strip when he allegedly struck a female co-worker in the face with his hand, causing an injury to the woman’s inside left lip.

Police were called, and Scott allegedly ran when they arrived. He was told to stop running but refused, and was apprehended within a few blocks.

Scott was charged with Assault causing Injury and Interference with Official Acts. If convicted on the charges, he could serve up to 13 months in jail.
