Officials with the Clear Creek Amana school district are warning drivers to avoid using an access road as a construction shortcut.
A message posted to the City of Tiffin Facebook page advises that the access road connecting Tiffin Elementary and Oak Hill Elementary is intended for bus use only, and it has clear signage indicating its purpose. Clear Creek Amana schools have reported an increase in residents using the road as a convenience due to the closure of Park Road.
Because the access road is on private property, school administrators have authorized trespassing citations for any violations of the buses-only access road. That includes the additional gravel areas, which are also for bus use only.
